A transhumanist neurosurgeon and his two sons crash land on a desolate Rimworld. As the three find their footing in the valley they now call home, they learn through bitter lessons and unwilling sacrifice.

The Enduring follows the events of a completed game of Rimworld.

 

A GPT storyteller was used to simulate conversations between the colonists whenever they were faced with an important decision. The storyteller would consider the game mechanical outcome of the events at hand, the colony's resources and threats, as well as the colonists' personalities before narrating the decisions made by the group.Afterwards, their stated intentions were enacted in-game.
